"I promise to recommend the
companies I believe will work for you...
...My reviews will be my honest opinion and I will not be biased based
on my referral commission*."
DOBA
BOTTOM
LINE: The Evidence Suggests it will be Tough to Profit.
I have to be
honest. In all my experience with, and research on DOBA I have
found them to be the most difficult place to start. And, even with
a free trial, they can be the most costly.
On the
internet you will usually find one of two things about DOBA.
#1 - DOBA is
a SCAM.
#2 - DOBA is a great place to get started.
I disagree
with both statements.
DOBA IS NOT A
SCAM. They do in fact provide the service they represent on their
website to anyone who pays their fees. Most people who cry SCAM
about DOBA are doing so because they could not find any products they
could sell on eBay for a profit. Then perhaps, they tried to get
their trial canceled and got the hard-sell treatment. Or, maybe
they went past the free trial by a few days and were outraged when DOBA
didn't want to issue a refund.
Any way you
slice it, in fact DOBA is not a scam. They are a legitimate
company with hard-sell tactics. It may not be how you-and-I are
comfortable doing business, but they are a thriving company with many
members.
But for
statement #2... No, DOBA is not a good place to get started.
Anyone who recommends DOBA as the right place to get started is thinking
about one thing -- the COMMISSION they get paid for the referral to DOBA.
Yes, DOBA pays websites to send people to their free trial.
This is no
big deal. Most other companies including eBay itself pay people
for referrals*. However, many so-called "DOBA Reviews"
are not entirely honest and are driven by the website owner's desire to
make money. After all, if they're going to refer people to DOBA's
free trial (to earn a commission) they cannot first give a bad review.
The truth is
that DOBA deals entirely in 3rd part fulfillment. This is also
known as dropshipping. This is where DOBA falls way short.
The dropshipping model of resale is not well suited for eBay.
While, in theory, it may sound like a match made in heaven -- it can
actually be just about the worst way to sell on eBay. But, since
this is a DOBA review and not a review on dropshipping in general I am
not going to dive into the problems with dropshipping. If you're
interested in that then please visit my other site at

Back to
DOBA...
The point is
that DOBA is dropshipping -- and dropshipping is no good on eBay.
So, it really doesn't matter if DOBA itself is any good or not does it?
If you're
still curious about DOBA, the good news is that they do offer a free
trial. But, you need to be warned... Remember how I said
that DOBA can be the most costly? One reason for this is that when
you give your phone number to DOBA (by signing up for a free trial) you
WILL get a telemarketing call trying to sell you expensive "telephone
mentoring". This can cost an extra $2000 - $6000 or more.
Sure, you just have to say no -- but it can be a hard-sell situation.
Here is a link to the DOBA free trial.
But in all honesty, I would pass.
